This paper introduces and develops the concept of "spin-ins" — the reverse of spinouts, where entrepreneurial ventures that originated from a parent organization are reabsorbed back into it, bringing with them new capabilities, market knowledge, and entrepreneurial energy developed in the external environment.
Contribution to the Research Program
This work contributes to the Resource Mobilization stream by examining a novel mechanism through which organizations can renew themselves through entrepreneurial dynamics.
